Please refer to the table below for the following examples:

Pipe—Example: Use a 7/8" diameter hole saw to cut holes for 1/2" pipe. View more information about pipe size.

Copper Pipe and Tubing—Example: Use a 7/8" diameter hole saw to cut holes for5/8" copper pipe and tubing.

Conduit—Example: Use a 7/8" diameter hole saw to cut holes for 1/2" conduit.

Pipe Taps—Taps are used to form pipe threads in the cut hole. Example: Use a7/8" diameter hole saw to cut holes that you will thread with a 3/4" pipe tap for 1/2"pipe.
